Administrative Innovation and Technology

Radhika Prabhu | Assistant Vice Chancellor

Administrative Innovation and Technology combines Administrative IT and the Office of Business Transformation, to support technological infrastructure as well as innovation among campus staff members. Administrative IT in particular helps educate and support campus customers in the use of FOA applications and services, and ensure that FOA staff have the technology tools, training, help and support they need to best serve the campus and community.


Budget and Institutional Analysis

The Budget Office and Institutional Analysis provides policy analysis on a wide range of issues, including enrollment, instructional workload, faculty positions and other institutional policies.


Design and Construction Management

Jim Carroll | Associate Vice Chancellor

As a vital part of creating one of the world’s most sustainable universities, Design and Construction Management (DCM) oversees the planning, design and construction of university spaces. DCM is responsible for guiding the future development of the campus’s built and outdoor environments in conjunction with the management and continuous improvement to its transportation facilities and programs. This team delivers new, high-quality buildings at the forefront of green building design, transforms existing facilities using state-of-the-art systems and manages improvements to the infrastructure of the largest campus in the UC system. In addition to advising the Chancellor and Provost with the planning, oversight, and allocation of funding for capital improvement projects, DCM also works with deans and vice chancellors to assign building space for education and administrative purposes. This team is committed to the creative use of its resources for supporting student learning and engagement, fostering community participation and marketing UC Davis as a welcoming destination.

Facilities Management

Allen Tollefson | Associate Vice Chancellor

Facilities Management provides expert maintenance and repair for buildings, equipment and vehicles on the central UC Davis campus; they supply and maintain all of our main campus’s utility needs including electricity, water, natural gas, heating and cooling; in addition, their cutting-edge systems and community engagement programs consistently improve our campus's energy savings in support of UC-wide carbon neutrality goals. From biosafety labs to historic barns, Facilities Management's skilled trades employees are uniquely qualified to care for and provide unmatched customer service in support of our campus’s full range of research and teaching needs.


Finance

Matt Okamoto | Assistant Vice Chancellor and Controller

Finance provides the university with a wide array of services to staff and manages valuable units including payroll, the cashier’s office, student accounting, and much more. They fulfill the institution’s instructional research, and administrative requirements for financial information and reporting, materials, supplies, equipment, and services.


Fire Department

Nathan Trauernicht | Fire Chief

The UC Davis Fire Department is an all-risk, all-hazard emergency services organization that continually strives to be prepared for any threat to our community’s health and safety. The department offers a comprehensive mix of emergency response services including emergency medical services, fire suppression, basic and technical rescue, hazardous materials mitigation, public fire and EMS safety education, and domestic preparedness response.


Human Resources

Tammy Kenber | Chief Human Resources Officer

Human Resources provides services for employees and staff for both UC Davis and UC Davis Health. They offer assistance for employees, supervisors, and units within HR. They help sustain the workforce through recruitment, benefits administration, labor-relations services, mediation and professional development.


Police Department

Joseph A. Farrow | Chief of Police

The UC Davis Police Department serves the UC Davis community both in Davis and Sacramento. Through collaboration with community partners, they provide the highest level of service to all who attend, work and visit our campuses. Their approach is to involve students, faculty and staff in their activities and operations. FOA provides administrative support to the department; the Chief reports to the Provost/EVC.

Safety Services helps UC Davis maintain a safe and healthy campus environment through risk management and education. They provide important resources including emergency preparedness; fire prevention; personal, workplace and lab safety; and much more.


University Resources

University Resources combines groups that manage resources for the whole of UC Davis, including supply chain, distribution, mail, printing, event planning, equipment programs and campuswide sponsorships.
